Ansel Adams
Ansel Adams
A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words. -Ansel Adams. Ansel Adams was a famous photographer, writer, painter and environmentalist.
A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed- Ansel Adams. Ansel Adams was born in San Francisco, California on February 20, 1902 and died April 22, 1984\ He started his career in 1971 and took his first picture, Church, Taos Pueblo in 1942. When you see Ansel Adams pictures, they are usually of Yosemite, Yellowstone, other National Parks, seasons, and nature. His photos where in black and white and color.
In his career, Ansel Adams also wrote many books about his photography. In one of his photography books Our National Parks he wrote about Yellowstone, Yosemite and other National Parks that he took pictures of and went to see. He also wrote the following books:
Ansel Adams: In Color
Ansel Adams: In Black and White
Ansel Adams: Biography
So I guess that when you look at a picture, there is more to look at than what is in front of you and what it is really means.

Astrophotography: The world above us
Astrophotography is a type of photography in which you take pictures of planets, sky, meteors, and others in the night sky. When you want to take a picture, you need to know that the light conditions will be very low, so be careful as you are taking a picture. Some of the pictures can also come out blurry, because of the distance, so you may not be able to get the picture as clear as you may want.
Also before you take a picture, make sure you have this equipment:
- Cryogenic cooling – this cooling will help to reduce thermal noise that could ruin an otherwise good photograph
- Biasing
- Flat field correction
- A good self timer
- Manual exposure control
- A quality tripod

Underwater Photogaphy: The Adventure Under Our Feet
As you all know, Underwater Photography is obviously underwater!
In Underwater photography they use water-proof cameras that can get clear pictures underwater. You need underwater camera equipment with specialized casings and flashes to take a camera underwater. One way you can take underwater pictures is in submarine, and you can scuba dive, or Snorkel. If you’re staying near the surface, you don’t need a camera that can handle the pressure of deep water. A compact digital camera that has been made for snorkeling will work fine. Typically these cameras are specified waterproof to 10 feet but will work a little deeper as well.
Light refraction is another thing that can affect underwater photography. The deeper you go, the less light you get. As you go deeper and deeper, red colors disappear first. The color extent gets progressively narrower the deeper you dive.
When you dive into the water, you can take pictures of the animals, plants, and other life in the water.
